About Me

Hello! I'm Maria and I am a counselling therapist based in Calgary, AB. I specialize in working with people going though difficult life transitions, relationship struggles, trauma, grief and loss, lack of meaning, ADHD, depression, or anxiety.I studied in Divine Mercy University, where I earned a Master's of Science in Counselling. My training there and my personal formation has informed my personal approach which considers and integrates all aspects of the human person, including their spirituality, cultural background, and values. Every person is unique, therefore, my therapeutic approach varies depending on the needs of the person and considers that which will lead to the person's flourishing.I strive to bring a warm and genuine presence as well as to create a non-judgemental and safe environment where clients can feel at ease. I believe that through positive emotional experiences in a therapeutic setting, we can experience deep healing that can translate to the rest of our relationships and which can lead to greater freedom.I believe that no matter how deep the wound, there is always hope for healing. In fact, it is often in those difficult experiences that the greatest amount of growth can take place in our lives. Taking the first step may be difficult, but you don't have to face the journey alone.

Payment

Session rate: $200Payment types accepted include e-transfer, Visa and MasterCard.

Insurance

I am covered through a number of insurance companies who cover clinical counsellors/psychotherapists. You can contact your provider and provide my ACTA number (#3094) to confirm if your insurance covers my services. I do not provide direct billing at this time.
